From first check all the way to the public markets, Lightspeed has been proud to build with Rubrik since its founding in late 2013.

Partner Ravi Mhatre led the firm's investment and has remained a trusted advisor and director on the board. Bipul Sinha, Co-Founder and CEO, was a Lightspeed Partner when he first envisioned the company that would become Rubrik. In honor of the IPO, we’re celebrating key moments in Rubrik's growth story:

In late 2023 Lightspeed published the inaugural edition of the Cyber 60, recognizing the fastest growing venture backed cybersecurity companies in the marketplace. We analyzed data provided by over 300 startups and published the list in conjunction with Fortune, with Rubrik earning a place on the Growth-stage segment. Now that Rubrik is a public company, we’ll officially retire (with honors!) its place, as we prepare the next edition of the Cyber 60 coming later this year.
