Inspired by this quote – Carina believes in endless possibility, with a consistent set of enablers involving authenticity, connection, resilience, optimism and creativity. She believes solutions can be imagined, built and found for almost everything and is energized by the environment at Lightspeed that is focused on everyone doing exactly this.
A keen observer of consumer trends and behavior through her early sales and marketing training, at CPG conglomerate Unilever, where she was last a Global Brand Director – crafting, building and growing some of India’s largest consumer brands, she believes that a brand is as good as it’s understanding of its audience, underpinned by a veritable product offering.
At Lightspeed, Carina heads Marketing and Communications for the India and SEA region, working across the portfolio, with a lean team,as they help craft brand positioning & strategy and strengthen marketing execution across product marketing, content, events, digital, community, PR, partnerships and media.
Carina is a big believer in diversity and inclusion, convinced that by embracing different perspectives and experiences, we can create more magic. In an endeavor to foster this, she volunteers her time with young female entrepreneurs and professionals as they navigate the slopes of their professional lives, under her platform ‘Beam’.
Outside of the workplace, Carina enjoys writing, producing, traveling and all things pop-culture and design.
