Roxanne Oulman

CFO Operating Partner . Menlo Park.

Roxanne brings three decades of hands-on executive and boardroom experience to her work with Lightspeed’s portfolio companies, advising on financial strategy, leadership, and operational scale. Drawing from her background as a public-company CFO, she also helps shape the firm’s CFO Advisory Council to build a trusted community among financial leaders, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and provide strategic guidance that empowers portfolio leaders to drive sustainable growth and navigate the most pressing financial challenges facing their organizations.

Before joining Lightspeed, Roxanne served as CFO of two high-growth SaaS companies—Medallia and CallidusCloud—both of which achieved multi-billion-dollar exits. At Medallia, she led the company through its IPO and eventual $6.4B acquisition by Thoma Bravo, doubling ARR and market capitalization in the process. At CallidusCloud, she played a central role in its $2.4B acquisition by SAP. She oversaw Finance, Investor Relations, Deal Desk, Sales Ops, and IT in multiple organizations.

She currently serves on the boards of several public and private companies—including Klaviyo, Western Digital, Human Interest, and Plume Design—and has chaired or served on multiple audit committees through IPO, acquisitions, and strategic transitions across capital structures.

“Lightspeed’s passion for supporting management teams goes far beyond capital,” Roxanne says. “The firm’s commitment to founder success, through strategic guidance, operational support, and genuine partnership, resonates deeply with me.” That alignment, paired with the opportunity to collaborate with mission-driven builders, made the decision to join the firm in 2025 an easy one.

Her admiration for venture is rooted in decades spent partnering with investors and executive teams, and a desire to support founders earlier in their journeys. “Business performance isn’t always up and to the right,” she says. “What defines a company is how it shows up in the tough moments.”

Roxanne is a first-generation college graduate who grew up in a blue-collar household where grit and resilience were non-negotiables. “It taught me that you don’t need to be the smartest person in the room, you need to be the most driven.” That mindset continues to guide her today.

Outside of work, Roxanne enjoys spending time with family and is a dedicated learner, recently taking up golf and spending time in the garden. For her, these pursuits are a reminder that growth takes patience, curiosity, and practice; values that mirror the very journey she now helps founders and CFOs navigate every day.
