Henry joined Lightspeed’s Operations team in 2024 and is focused on Portfolio Value Creation, whereby he works with founders and executives to find new growth opportunities, iterate on strategic plans and drive execution.
“I’m passionate about helping entrepreneurs scale their vision and build companies of meaning,” Henry says.
Before joining Lightspeed, Henry worked in growth and private equity value creation at Permira, where he partnered with management teams to drive growth initiatives. A member of the team that backed Zendesk, he also helped manage investments in McAfee and Carta. Prior to that role, Henry was an engagement manager at McKinsey and tackled work including growth strategies and commercial due diligence. Earlier, he was an operator at Uber.
At Lightspeed, Henry takes a multidisciplinary approach to helping companies tackle challenges, seeking a wide range of ideas for his business-building palette.
“As operators know, there’s often not a single simple solution to a difficult problem,” Henry says. “I have a roll-up-my-sleeves mentality, and I’m an operator at heart. I’m here to help founders find the right tailored solution to any question, no matter how difficult the problem.”
Henry draws inspiration from his parents, who arrived in the U.S. with nothing more than a passion for learning which fueled them to pursue advanced degrees. Their determination to succeed cultivated a commitment to hard work in Henry’s own life, while their backgrounds in engineering and technology inspired his pursuit of tech.
Henry holds majors in finance and international business and a minor in studio art from NYU. In his free time, Henry enjoys traveling to new places and spending time with his wife and family.
