Vice President, Business Development position available with Lightspeed Management Company, LLC in Menlo Park, California.

 

Responsibilities: Develop and implement partnerships defining strategies to optimize business growth, and establish initiatives for emerging verticals and technologies for portfolio companies. Build relationships Business-to-Business (“B2B”) enterprise relationships and negotiations. Design and implement functional processes to improve internal business practices and operations. Provide strategic insights; develop sales & marketing strategies; and perform data analytics using Excel Modeling. Develop and present proposals for business development and partnership activities, including selling to large national accounts with long sales cycles, requiring grounds-up relationship-building and ongoing relationship nurturing. Work with cross-functional teams, including finance, engineering, procurement and operations to build business development campaigns and deliver exceptional results. Position requires a MBA, or foreign equivalent, plus three (3) years of experience in job offered or Strategy & Operations Manager. Professional experience must include: B2B enterprise sales and negotiations, RFP preparation and contract negotiations; Assisting clients to achieve and sustain profitable organic and inorganic growth; simplifying the customer’s experience by helping the clients to effectively initiate, grow, and sustain profitable relationships with customers; conducting primary and secondary research including interviewing SMEs and executives, synthesizing insightful information by researching analyst reports, company financial reports, industry trade journals, news, and management literature; analyzing financial statements, valuation, share price analyses, business case development, competitive analysis and benchmarking provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client.
